Recently, I’ve been applying for jobs. Unfortunately, a lot of the jobs I’ve been applying to I am not 100% certain how far away it is because not all of them show just how far away it actually is from my house. And, since I’m borrowing my mom’s car at the moment (my car had broken down), I don’t have a lot of options when it comes to location.
I actually did this spell twice, two nights in a row. Both times I got a job interview crazy fast, however both times I also realizes until afterward that the job was too far or in a really dangerous area.
So, besides making sure you are applying to jobs within your location (or trying to at least since jobs sometimes make it extremely difficult), you can also be more specific within your intention.
Let’s get right to it.
What you need:
A fire-safe bowl or cauldron
You will be burning something in this spell! Stay safe, and be smart.
Tap-water or bottled water is perfectly fine, though you can use rain or other natural water as well. You will not be consuming anything in this spell, so either is great. In this spell, I used bottled water.
Water follows the path of least resistance. In this case, water guides you to your intention (a job interview). This spell won’t work if you do not have the qualifications for the job, of course, but it can work easily for the jobs that you do or that are entry-level.
A very small piece of paper
I ripped a paper to make it about an inch x inch in size. This is where you will be writing down your intention.
I don’t usually use a pencil because it fades, but it’s still fine. Pen, marker, pencil, etc.
Some of your own hair
By this, I don’t mean cutting your own hair. I mean taking your own hair from your brush, or running your hands through your hair to use.
The first time, I used only a couple of strands. The second time I used a large chunk from my brush. Both worked perfectly fine, though the more hair I used the faster it was (but not sure if that was related or not).
Also note: You will be burning hair. Burned hair smells a lot. If you are still a closeted witch this spell may not be for you or burn a small amount.
For a job, I would usually suggest green. However, in this case I used a black candle both times. The candle helps for concentration, visualization, and to use the wax as part of an ingredient. The wax is used simply to give a slight boost of energy.
Tea Tree Oil OR Eucalyptus Oil
In this case, I used tea tree oil.
The oil’s scent is strong and can cover up the scent of burned hair. It also provides a boost of energy and helps the fire keep burning. Please be careful when adding a drop to the fire.
I keep a bottle of ashes from previous wishes and incense cones/sticks in my witchcraft stock. You can use ashes from either.
- On a small paper, write down your wish. For example, “I have a job interview”
- Fold the paper three times.
- Wrap the strands of hair around the paper.
- Burn the paper and hair. Please be careful not to burn yourself. Drop it in the bowl (before or after burning). A match can be dropped as well.
- Add a drop or two of oil
- When it burns all the away, add a small amount of water (approx. 2/3 cup or less), drip some wax in, and a pinch or two of ashes.
- Move the bowl around to stir, chanting your wish three or more times. For example, “I have a job interview”
- Pour outside. For me, I poured it out of my window.
